![]() I’m having to take meetings via my phone, which is less than ideal, and was really hoping I’d find a way to fix it this weekend. I retried all my video call services and still none of them work. The microphone will only work if I am dictating text for my mac to write. One recommended turning on dictation and seeing if that made a difference - and it does! Kind of. I then checked my various permissions, and followed the mac microphone troubleshooting guides I could find online. Then I tried other video call services (teams, messenger) and the mic wouldn’t work on them either, so I figured it was an issue with my laptop rather than a specific video call app issue. I followed zoom troubleshooting guides but that didn’t make a difference. I restarted (both zoom and my laptop) and hoped that would be a quick solve, but no luck. Two hours later I signed into a new meeting and no one could hear me. ![]() Last Wednesday my in-built mic was working fine during a meeting. If the Microphone on your MacBook is not working, the problem could be due to various reasons, ranging from temporary software glitch to Microphone not. I work as a freelancer from home and heavily depend on zoom meetings (and teams, etc.). The newer models of MacBook Pro (2021) are equipped with 3 mics placed at the left-side corner of the Mac, while versions of MacBook Pro (2017) had a single Microphone located near the ESC key. I have a macbook pro 13 inch, early 2015. Hello! Wondering if someone could help me.
